OpenClaw 2026.10.4 released
A stability patch addressing Gateway reliability, shutdown hangs, and issues across browser, messaging, and update systems.
What changed in 2026.10.4
- Gateway stays running through system sleep and clock changes instead of restarting unexpectedly.
- Gateway shutdown and restart no longer hang waiting for stalled transcript workers or session lifecycle events.
- Manual /compact command now completes active runs instead of canceling them and losing pending requests.
- Headless browser pages remain responsive during passkey authentication, and long message streams no longer cause unresponsiveness.
- Fixed owner impersonation in Tlon group DMs, OAuth passkey flows, and issues in OpenAI reasoning models, Tailscale, and multiple chat platforms.
