Two ways they work
Always-on assistants (OpenClaw, Gemini Spark) connect to your email and calendar and act in the background: briefings, reminders, organising confirmations. Agentic browsers (Gemini in Chrome, Comet, Claude in Chrome, Opera Neon) do errands when you ask, by clicking through websites in your own logged-in browser.
What each agent does for this task
Only agents whose own documentation describes this use are listed. Checked Oct 6, 2026.
| Agent | What it does | Source |
|---|---|---|
| OpenClaw | Manages your calendar and conflicts, sends reminders and daily briefings, organises your inbox and checks you in for flights | docs |
| Gemini Spark | Always-on agent that adds plans to your calendar, processes booking confirmations and flags subscription changes | docs |
| Gemini in Chrome (auto browse) | Auto browse compares products, fills carts, books stays and handles restaurant reservations | docs |
| Perplexity Comet | Browser assistant for managing your inbox, ordering groceries, planning trips and sharing your schedule | docs |
| Claude in Chrome | Plans from your calendar and compares products across sites in your own browser | docs |
| Opera Neon | Agentic browser that shops, books trips and fills in forms for you | docs |
Set limits first
- Approve payments and bookings yourself. Most of these agents can be set to stop before anything is bought or sent.
- Give the least access that works. A calendar assistant does not need your bank account.
- Websites can carry hidden instructions aimed at agents; an agent browsing with your logins should not act without confirmation on sensitive sites.
