NASA POWER (Prediction Of Worldwide Energy Resources)
A NASA API and data viewer giving satellite- and model-derived solar radiation and weather for any point on Earth, with 300+ parameters at hourly, daily, monthly and climatology levels, in units tailored for renewable energy, buildings and agriculture.
One key-less GET request returns decades of sunshine and temperature for any coordinate, which is exactly the input a solar-panel or crop model needs.

For your agent
A request your code or agent can make with no key:
https://power.larc.nasa.gov/api/temporal/daily/point?parameters=T2M,ALLSKY_SFC_SW_DWN&community=RE&longitude=13.41&latitude=52.52&start=20240101&end=20240107&format=JSON- Use /api/temporal/{hourly|daily|monthly|climatology}/point with parameters=, community=RE|AG|SB, start/end as YYYYMMDD and format=JSON|CSV|NETCDF; no key, but the latest 2-3 months are provisional and get replaced, and the solar grid is 1 degree so nearby points return the same values.
- Credit NASA Langley Research Center's POWER project (CC BY 4.0), including service name, version and access date in publications.
- Do not request points finer than the data grid (0.5 x 0.625 degree meteorology, 1 x 1 degree solar); back off on HTTP 429.
- Treat the last 2-3 months as provisional; re-fetch later for climate-quality values.

What you can build
- A rooftop-solar estimator that takes an address, pulls the climatology of ALLSKY_SFC_SW_DWN for that point and estimates yearly kWh for a given panel size.
- A crop-planning helper for smallholder farmers that charts growing degree days and rainfall from the AG community daily data.
- A building-energy pre-design tool that computes heating and cooling degree days from POWER's SB community data for any site worldwide.
