DWD Open Data Server
Germany's national weather service file server: ICON model forecasts (GRIB2), radar composites, live station observations, severe-weather warnings (CAP) and long climate station records from its Climate Data Center, all as plain HTTPS downloads.
A whole national weather service's raw output, from global model runs to decades of daily station records, sits in open folders you can browse and script against without signing up.

For your agent
No official API. An agent should not scrape the site: use it by hand or through its downloads.
- There is no query API: navigate the directory tree (weather/ for forecasts, radar, warnings; climate_environment/CDC/ for historical station data), read the station description .txt first, then fetch per-station zip files; model files are bz2-compressed GRIB2 and most docs are in German.
- Acknowledge Deutscher Wetterdienst as the source (CC BY 4.0) and say if you changed the data.
- Check for third-party content marked as such; it may need separate permission.
- Mirror only what you need and cache it; files are refreshed in place, so poll directory listings rather than re-downloading everything.
Paste into your agent: Read https://agentgid.com/resources/dwd-open-data/agent.md before using DWD Open Data Server.
What you can build
- A German rain-radar animation for a commercial cycling app built from the DWD radar composites, credited 'Source: Deutscher Wetterdienst'.
- A station-history explorer that unzips the daily KL climate files and charts temperature, sunshine and precipitation trends for any German weather station.
- A warning bot that reads the DWD CAP warning files every few minutes and posts storm or heat warnings for selected German municipalities to Telegram.
