Carbon
Turns a pasted code snippet or GitHub gist into a styled image, with themes, fonts and window frames, exported as PNG or SVG or embedded as an iframe.
It is the tool behind many of the neat code screenshots on social media, and its whole editor is MIT-licensed code you can run yourself.

For your agent
No official API. An agent should not scrape the site: use it by hand.
- No API and no official npm package (the carbon-now CLI is a community project); it is open source (MIT, github.com/carbon-app/carbon, Next.js) so you can self-host; for links use carbon.now.sh/<gist_id> to open a gist and carbon.now.sh/embed/<id> for an iframe, and always publish the code as text next to the image.
- Include the code as text next to any Carbon image; the image is invisible to screen readers
- Keep the MIT notice if you fork or bundle the code
Paste into your agent: Read https://agentgid.com/resources/carbon/agent.md before using Carbon.
What you can build
- A blog or docs plugin that embeds code samples as Carbon iframes from GitHub gists
- A self-hosted fork that renders branded code images for a company's release notes
