Data stories and visualization · by The Pudding (small independent team)
The Pudding
A publication of interactive visual essays on culture (music, words, film, the internet), with the datasets and analysis scripts behind many stories released on GitHub.
Each story asks a playful question about everyday culture and answers it with a dataset you can open and reuse yourself.

For your agent
No official API. An agent should not scrape the site: use it by hand or through its downloads.
- Get data from github.com/the-pudding/data (one folder per story slug; the README table lists each dataset and its update frequency); there is no API.
- Keep the MIT copyright notice ('Copyright (c) 2019 The Pudding') when you redistribute the data
- Do not copy or embed the stories' text and graphics; only the data repo carries a license
- Check the linked repo's own license for datasets hosted outside the-pudding/data
Paste into your agent: Read https://agentgid.com/resources/the-pudding/agent.md before using The Pudding.
What you can build
- A notebook or dashboard that re-analyses one Pudding dataset with a new angle, credited to The Pudding
- A teaching kit that pairs each Pudding story with its CSV for a data-journalism class
- A small chart app built on a Pudding dataset (MIT, keep the license notice)
