The Public Domain Review
An online journal that digs up strange and beautiful out-of-copyright art, books, films and audio, with curated collection posts and long essays that link to the source archives.
Every post is a rabbit hole into forgotten prints, diagrams and oddities from old libraries, each traced back to the institution that holds the scan.

For your agent
No official API. An agent should not scrape the site: use it by hand.
- No API: follow each post's link to the source institution and check that item's rights label before reusing an image.
- Reused text: credit the author and 'originally published on The Public Domain Review', keep CC BY-SA, no paywall
- Check the end of each essay: some essays use more restrictive terms
- For images, check the digitising institution's rights statement; PDR labels are guidance, not legal advice
Paste into your agent: Read https://agentgid.com/resources/public-domain-review/agent.md before using The Public Domain Review.

- A daily 'curiosity from the archives' widget that links out to PDR collection posts and their source scans
- A browser for public-domain images grouped by theme, using PDR posts as hand-picked seeds and pulling files from the linked source archives
- A reader app that republishes CC BY-SA essays with the required credit line and same licence
