MapCrunch

A site that drops you into a random Google Street View panorama, filtered by country or by an area you pick on a map, with a daily featured view and a gallery.

One click puts you on an unknown road somewhere on Earth, which makes it a quiet, endless virtual trip and a natural base for guessing games.

For your agent

No official API. An agent should not scrape the site: use it by hand.

  • No API or terms; the panoramas come from Google Street View, so any project that reuses imagery must go through Google's Maps Platform with its own key and terms.
  • Do not scrape or copy Street View imagery from MapCrunch; link to it instead

Paste into your agent: Read https://agentgid.com/resources/mapcrunch/agent.md before using MapCrunch.

What you can build

  • A link-out 'random place of the day' widget that sends users to MapCrunch
  • Your own location-guessing game built on the Google Maps JavaScript API (Street View) under Google's terms
