Fluree
A graph database (FlureeDB) that stores data as JSON-LD/RDF with history and access policies, queried with SPARQL or FlureeQL over HTTP, plus a hosted platform (Fluree AI) that adds connectors, an MCP server and natural-language answers over the graph.
You can give an AI agent a knowledge graph with typed relationships, record history and per-user access rules, so answers can be traced to specific facts instead of loose vector matches.

For your agent
- Run locally with `docker run -p 8090:8090 fluree/server:3.0` or the CLI (`brew install fluree/tap/fluree`); SDKs: `@fluree/sdk` (npm), `fluree-sdk` (PyPI), `fluree-langchain`, `fluree-llamaindex`; `fluree memory mcp-install` sets up the MCP server for an agent. Downloadable demo kits come with competency questions and expected answers to test against.
- Do not offer FlureeDB 4.x as a hosted database where customers create their own databases or schemas without a commercial licence
- Check which licence applies to the version you run: the repo is BSL 1.1 from 4.0.0, the developer page still lists AGPL v3 for v3.0

What you can build
- A GraphRAG assistant over a company's products and contracts that cites the exact graph facts it used
- A public SPARQL endpoint for a curated open dataset, which the BSL grant explicitly allows
- Long-term agent memory with per-user access policies, loaded from one of Fluree's demo knowledge graphs to start
