Pi 1.4.0 released
A feature release adding image input for classifiers, improved summaries, and terminal enhancements, plus numerous fixes.
What changed in 1.4.0
- Classifier models on TypeSafe, Cloudflare Workers AI, and OpenRouter now accept images as input.
- Summary generation uses the model's full output limit instead of a fixed cap, preventing failures on long reasoning.
- Codemode scripts queue when workers are busy instead of failing immediately; limit raised via PI_CODEMODE_MAX_WORKERS.
- Terminal support for OSC 8 hyperlinks, truecolor, and inline images in Rex; fixes for mouse tracking and keyboard modes.
- Default models updated: GitHub Copilot to gpt-6.1-sol, NVIDIA to nvidia/nemotron-3.5-super-vl-120b-a12b, Xiaomi to mimo-v2.6-pro.
Check before you update
- generateSummary() and generateSummaryWithUsage() no longer use the reserveTokens parameter; compaction.reserveTokens now only controls when compaction starts.
