Andee changelog: what's new each month
Every stable Andee release summarised by month: the highlights, new features, improvements, fixes and anything you need to act on. 1 month covered; the current month updates daily.
October 2026
14 releases: 0.3.2 → 0.8.1
October brought Andee from a single-device assistant to a multi-platform system with Mac support, enhanced conversation management, and smarter interaction tools. The month saw major features like topic folding, voice providers, friends pairing, and a comprehensive notebook interface.
- Default backend is now CodeFlying on fresh installs.
- Page concept changed: revisions are versions of the same page, not separate pages.
- Asset file naming format changed to include platform field: andee-<version>-<lang>-<platform>-<device>.
Highlights
- Mac app launched with floating assistant ball, same features as phone, and shared pairing via QR code.
- Notebook redesigned with timeline, plans, daily schedule, and automatic daily reflection.
- Wake word now works with screen off, and locked devices properly refuse unavailable tools.
- Choice of voice providers including Google ASR and TTS alongside existing options.
- Tap-by-description tool lets you target elements by saying what you want instead of coordinates.
New
- Mac desktop app for macOS 14+ with floating ball interface and full assistant capabilities.
- Friends feature: pair devices via QR code to share requests between your own devices or with others.
- Topics: finished conversation stretches fold away and can be picked back up later.
- Page revisions: ask for changes to previous outputs and the panel updates without starting a new page.
- Voice exit command: say "Exit Andee" or "Take a break" without model call on-device.
- Taptarget tool: describe what you want to tap in words instead of using coordinates.
- Bubbles: silent, non-blocking notifications that appear and yield to other content.
- Plans layer with long-term directions and daily schedule, both visible and editable in notebook.
Improved
- Wake word detection now works with screen off when allowed by system state.
- Changing the model no longer wipes conversation history.
- Default appearance is now light theme instead of dark.
- Swipe gestures now move as far as the finger moves without coasting past the target.
- Aiming on apps that hide their element tree, especially WeChat, is now much more accurate.
- Mac notification detection works across all macOS versions instead of one fixed location.
- Drag operations now properly press, hold, move, and release for sliders and other controls.
- Notebook receives automatic daily entry each evening at 21:00 with day reflection.
Fixed
- Quiet-hour review now survives process being killed and re-arms after reboot.
- Tap ring now appears where the tap actually landed instead of offset below status bar.
- Submit button in reply boxes no longer claims success when submission is not possible.
- Typing then tapping in reply boxes now requires accurate aiming on hidden-tree apps.
- Blind typing followed by tap is refused unless coming from a zoom on tree-blind apps.
- Mac falls back to configured backend instead of silently switching when server is unavailable.
