Unreal MCP is an experimental Unreal Engine 5.8 plugin (ModelContextProtocol) that runs an MCP server inside the Unreal Editor, so AI agents can call engine functions such as spawning actors, setting up lighting, creating material instances and running automation tests. It listens only on local HTTP/SSE, can generate client configs for Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini and Codex, and supports custom tools.
