- pip install instavm (Python SDK + instavm CLI) or npm i instavm; set INSTAVM_API_KEY; raw HTTP uses the X-API-Key header; agents can add the skill with npx skills add https://github.com/instavm/skills --skill use-instavm; ssh instavm.dev works without installing anything
- Keep the API key server-side; inject other secrets through InstaVM's proxy, not into the VM
- Free plan egress is limited to known package managers and AI APIs; allowlists need Pro
- InstaVM may keep code and execution logs for up to one year; do not run data you cannot share with them
