# A reading list app with real covers

Search any book by title or ISBN, add it to a list and show its cover and author, from Open Library's free APIs.

## Steps

1. Search with search.json and open a work by adding .json to its URL.
2. Show covers from the Covers API and cache every response.
3. Save each user's list in your own database, keyed by the Open Library work id.

## Watch out

- Keep to one request a second (three with a User-Agent naming your app and a contact address); use the monthly dumps for anything bulk.
- Open Library asks not to use its API as the backend of a high-traffic commercial service.
