## Rules for an agent

- Remote agents add the HTTP MCP endpoint https://dcpagent.com/connect with OAuth; local stdio MCP clients run the DCP agent (npm @dcprotocol/agent); the vault lives in DCP Desktop on the user's machine and must be online to answer requests.
- Keep the Apache-2.0 license, NOTICE and attribution when redistributing DCP
- Do not exceed the public relay limit of 60 requests/minute per vault; self-host the relay for more
- Lost passwords or vault files cannot be recovered; back up the vault
